So you Want to Get Healthy?

Get Fit Colville is a chance for all of us to join together as a community to improve our health through healthy lifestyle choices, especially exercise and nutrition.  Anyone Living within a 15 mile radius of Colville may participate.  No matter how healthy you are, no matter what your level of fitness, We Want You to Join Us!!!

 

Through the Get Fit Colville Program, our community has lost almost 4,000 pounds! 

 

 

The 3rd year kickoff on was held on June 18th 2009.   Last year over 800 people joined.   There were over $42,000.00  in grants received from the Washington Health Foundation for GetFitColville.  This year, there will be more lectures, two yearly group meetings and 5+ people will receive a complete makeover.

 

This year, for every pound we lose as a community Get Fit Colville, together with other supporting  business will donate 1 pound of healthy food to our local food bank!

Choose "Individual Champion" and enter your email address and click Join.  Choose GetFitColville as your Participating Organization.

If you eat 3,500 calories more than your body needs, you will put on about 1 pound. If you use up 3,500 calories more than you eat, you will lose about 1 pound in weight.

 

 

Statistics show that 65 percent of adults in the United States are overweight or obese.  In the state of Washington, 22.2 percent of adults are obese and 36.2 percent are overweight.  Stevens County statistics show 26.9 percent of adults are obese and 34.6 percent more are overweight.

In celebration of the 3rd year of the Get Fit Colville program, Colville Fitness Center is having a membership special.  We are discounting our 1 year, 6 month, and 3 month memberships by 30%, or if you sign up for a continual monthly membership, you will receive 2 free hours of personal training with Kimberley LaDuke, and pay no registration fee. When you sign up for Get Fit Colville, we are also giving away free “3-day Passes” to come check out our gym.
